PCAPI Officers Convene in Tagaytay to Align National Strategy and 2027 Convention Direction
The Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAPI) convened its officers, committee chairs, and Secretariat for a two-day strategic planning retreat on 24–25 July 2026 at the Twin Lakes Hotel in Tagaytay City, Cavite. Brought together under a single working agenda, the gathering was designed to close the planning loop on the association’s fiscal year 2026 priorities while laying the institutional groundwork for the 2027 National Annual Convention and General Assembly.

The first day began with a formal opening led by the PCAPI President Ms. Luzviminda Angeles, who delivered welcome remarks, presented the Strategic Plan objectives and program flow, and sought approval of the working agenda.

The Secretariat led by Ms. Christine Vidallo, then provided a 2026 Convention Assessment, detailing evaluation results, financial performance, and key insights from the recently concluded year.

The morning session concluded with the Convention Chairman, Mr. Jeremiah Dwight Sebastian, announcing the 2027 Committee Assignments, linking past lessons to future leadership.

The afternoon included detailed planning for the upcoming convention, with committees defining key performance indicators and resource needs during a workshop session. The day concluded with a fellowship dinner.

The second day focused on translating operational plans into association-wide strategies. The Ms. Angeles led the approval of the fiscal year’s strategic priorities and key activities.
Officers shared their plans to ensure alignment with the overall direction, followed by committee assignments and workshops to convert goals into concrete deliverables. The retreat closed with the formulation of resolutions and commitments to drive organizational action, and a review of governance matters as time allowed.
Together, the retreat reflects PCAPI’s annual governance cycle, bridging the close of one planning period with the start of the next. The committee assignments, strategic priorities, and resolutions established now set the course for the association’s work in the months ahead, with the success of the gathering ultimately reflected in the execution and impact of the 2027 PCAPI Convention.
